American National Bank of Texas welcomes Richard Whitman as Director of Mortgage Sales and Operations

Dallas, Texas – American National Bank of Texas has hired Richard Whitman as Director of Mortgage Sales and Operations. Whitman started work with ANBTX in 2015. He brings with him 25 years of mortgage banking experience and leadership. His responsibilities will include developing and managing the mortgage sales and operations for one of the oldest and most respected community banks in Texas.
Whitman sees his role as an extension of his service to the community.
“I greatly enjoy helping families achieve the American dream of home ownership.” Whitman said. “Providing locally-based banking and financial resources within our communities is critical to the development and betterment of the lives of citizens within those communities.”
Whitman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from North Carolina State University. He is an Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP), earning Five Star Mortgage Professional honors from Texas Monthly magazine, and the CUNA National Excellence in Mortgage Lending Award. Whitman has published several articles and papers about real estate finance and the mortgage industry, and has appeared on television and radio broadcasts as a subject matter expert.

Whitman will be operating out of the ANBTX resource center in Terrell, Texas.
