Regional Market President
Steve Robertson is the regional market president for the Kaufman and Van Zandt Counties. He offices primarily out of the Kaufman location where he resided as banking center president for 27 years. He has been with American National Bank of Texas since 1984.
As a life-long resident of Kaufman, Steve says that “American National Bank of Texas is successful because we live, work and play in our communities. The bank is a vital part of our communities. We have a vested interest in every part of the community growing, being successful and planning for the future. It is an honor to work for a company that has been a part of Kaufman County since 1875.”
With more than 30 years of banking experience, Steve has successfully served agricultural, small business, construction, professional and manufacturing industries. Steve has been honored as the Reader’s Choice favorite banker in Kaufman multiple times.
Steve serves as the treasurer for the Kaufman ISD Scholarship Foundation and is a member of Kaufman Lions Club. His past affiliations include two time chairman Kaufman Chamber of Commerce, Kaufman Lions Club president, Kaufman County Emergency Service District #1 special commissioner, Kaufman County United Way chairman and past board member and chairman of Texas Health Resources, Kaufman. In his spare time, Steve also enjoys actively supporting youth sports in Kaufman.
Steve is a graduate of Kaufman High School and has an Associate of Arts in petroleum technology from Tyler Junior College. In addition he is an honor graduate of Texas A & M University with Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural economics and is also a graduate of the Southwestern School of Banking at Southern Methodist University.
